4TH GAWAD SIKLAB AND RESEARCH TURNOVER CEREMONY

The Center for Research Development and Publications, under the Office of the Vice President for Research, Extension, Quality Assurance, Linkages, and International Affairs, successfully held the 4th Gawad Siklab and Research Turnover Ceremony on November 25, 2025, at the theater of the Museo ng Muntinlupa. With the theme “Sustainability in Focus: Strengthening Social Impact of Research,” the event highlighted the vital role of research in fostering community development, institutional growth, and academic excellence.
The plenary speaker, Dr. Jan Robert R. Go, Associate Professor at the University of the Philippines Diliman and Member of the National Research Council of the Philippines, delivered an insightful discourse emphasizing the core pillars of research, the challenges encountered by scholars, and the transformative impact of research on communities and society at large.
Following the plenary session, research proposals were formally turned over to the cooperating agencies, namely the City Health Office, City Human Resource Management Office, City Schools Division of Muntinlupa, City Department of Agriculture, Muntinlupa City Technical Institute, Barangay Poblacion, and the Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Office. The turnover marked the culmination of collaborative efforts and a renewed commitment to advancing research-driven initiatives.
Certificates of recognition were awarded to the authors from various colleges who contributed to the research undertakings. The College of Arts and Sciences also received a Certificate of Appreciation for its timely submission and completion of all required research documents. Moreover, Research Focal Persons from each college were honored for their steadfast support and contributions to the institution’s research agenda.

Each winning team received a certificate and a corresponding cash ince+ntive: ?15,000 for first place, ?10,000 for second place, and ?5,000 for third place.
