PLMun Chorale Shines at the Icons of Change Awards 2025

On November 14, 2025, the Rotary Club of Alabang Madrigal Business Park hosted the 2025 Icons of Change Muntinlupa Awards at the Laguna Ballroom of The Bellevue Hotel Manila, with the theme “Celebrating Local Heroes, Creating Global Impact.” The event recognized exemplary individuals and organizations whose efforts have made a positive societal impact across six major pillars: Military, Church, Business, Government, Academe, and Civic Groups.
The PLMun Chorale, led by Ms. Lily G. Jarata, Dean of the Office of Student Affairs and Director of the Center for Culture and the Arts, opened the ceremony with the Doxology and the Philippine National Anthem. The chorale’s harmonious performances further enriched the elegant atmosphere of the awards night.
PLMun’s presence was highlighted by its faculty members’ recognitions and contributions. Dr. Rowena G. Dela Cruz, faculty from the Institute of Integrated Development Education and the Graduate School, was honored as an Icon of Change in Education. Meanwhile, Dr. Fermae L. Tamayao, Dean of IIDE, was inducted into the membership of Rotary Club of Alabang, Madrigal Business Park (RCAMBP) and served as one of the program hosts. Dr. Darwin Carmelina was also recognized and inducted as an Honorary Member of RCAMBP.
Adding to the milestone, Mr. Jerry O. Bautista, a former professor and guidance associate at PLMun, was officially inducted as the new Unite for Good President (UGP) of RCAMBP.
The PLMun Chorale’s participation, combined with the recognitions of PLMun faculty and affiliates, highlighted the university’s continued commitment to excellence, service, and community leadership, contributing to meaningful societal change.
