2nd Special International Partnership Meeting with Ed Value Chain Solutions, Pvt. Ltd. India

The Office of the Vice President for Research, Extension, Quality Assurance, Linkages, and International Affairs (OVPREQALIA) through the Center for Linkages and International Affairs (CLIA), conducted the 2nd Special Partnership Meeting between the Pamantasan ng Lungsod ng Muntinlupa (PLMun) and Ed Value Chain Solutions, Pvt. Ltd., India, last 15 November 2022, at the University Board Room.
Mr. Pravesh Bhadviya, the Managing Director of Ed Value Chain Solutions, together with Mr. Nikhil Dubbey had a thorough discussion with Dr. Dan Jefferson Lopez, the Director of CLIA, AVP for Technology Integration, Assoc. Prof. Alain J. Anuevo, Asst. Prof Ricky Dimaapi, Asst. Prof. Christian Baña, and Asst. Prof. Alni Gavjaymin Casacop, on the Proposed Faculty Development Program through offering a Certificate Course Program for IT and CS faculty members of PLMun. Areas of Data Science and Cybersecurity were the topics agreed to be offered in the said FDP.
It was also discussed and proposed that a short course on Cybersecurity be offered for PLMun students, as well as an online seminar with Indian Resource Speakers about Information Technology and Computer Science topics for PLMun faculty members. In addition, the conduct of an online seminar for Political Science faculty members and students about World or South Asian History is also proposed.
In the area of Business Administration, there is a proposed MBA Faculty Development Program through the conduct of a 2-day webinar, as well as proposed Research Conferences on Social Sciences and Public Policy areas.
The conference also highlighted the possibility of sending PLMun delegates to India, to gather new learnings and capture best practices of Higher Education Institutions (HEIs) in the country.
Last September, PLMun conducted the 1st International Partnership Conference and MOU Signing with Ed Value Chain Solutions, Pvt. Ltd. India, where the two organizations agreed to have academic collaborations on Information Technology, Business Administration, Internship and Immersion Programs, Association with HEIs in India, Humanities and Social Science Research, and to have visiting professors in the College of Graduate Studies.
