Greetings of a Greatly Blessed School Year!
In today’s context of cross cultural servant-hood leadership “greatness is not the goal but service is”.
The value of this world is different from the value of God’s kingdom. In the world greatness is judged by the power of good reason over others, in God’s throne of wisdom greatness is judged by service to people.
In my journey to this life time career whether in the corporate or in the academe I can only think of one good reason for leadership and that is to serve for others.
Service is the ability to relate to people in such a way that their dignity as human beings are affirmed and empowered to live God–glorifying lives.
We serve people by entering into a relationship of unity, harmony and mutual commitment. A mutual commitment of task effectiveness in which things are done in an excellent perspective for a perfect time and relational effectiveness, where we honor others for being part of a task effectively and efficiently performed so that the servant spirit we wish to portray will, in fact, be seen and valued by others especially our students.
In this life of service it is not our words that count but the perception of the people whom we serve who watch our lives and sense our attitudes.
Hence, I challenge every student, every staff, every faculty member, every administrator to commit to a life of selfless service.
Let us always welcome others in our presence and make them feel safe through our unique way of service.
To God Be the Glory!
