College of Arts and Sciences was established in June 2004 for the purpose of servicing the general education subjects of the different colleges in the university and to cater students who want to gain knowledge in human relations, guidance services, entry to private/ public service and those who wanted to earn degrees preparatory to law, and medical studies.
The college started with two courses in 2004, these are; the Bachelor of Arts major in Political Science, a preparatory to law course and entry to government service, and the Bachelor of Arts major in Psychology, which trains students for human resource and academic related functions. Through the efforts of the incumbent Dean, the AB- Mass Communication & the BS Psychology was opened in June 2007.
Through the current leadership, the CAS office is now equipped with Computers to service the faculty needs and student’s organizations. A complete f Television set with DVD is also available for students’ activities. The Dean’s office has been improved for purposes of privacy and better services to attain to students personal, and family concerns; to faculty and staff needs and open also to the PLMun community.
The College of Arts and Sciences being the heart of a dynamic Pamantasan ng Lungsod ng Muntinlupa is envisioned to provide quality programs and instructions for the transformation of human being who are competitive, just and compassionate in response to the growing needs of the society.
The college is committed with the mission of providing quality and excellence in education through the integration of research, competency-based and service-oriented instruction, imbued with the principles of Service- Orientation, Transparency and Wholeness and Leadership by example.
