The Pamantasan ng Lungsod ng Muntinlupa (PLMun) conducted the face-to-face Commencement Exercises (the first in two years post-pandemic) at the Philippine International Convention Center (PICC), Pasay City, Metro Manila, with 2,283 graduates from the University's Colleges, namely, College of Arts and Sciences, College of Business Administration, College of Criminal Justice, College of Information Technology and Computer Studies, and College of Teacher Education, including the Graduate Studies.
The Commencement Exercises highlighted the awarding of medallions and incentives to 102 Latin Awardees (Magna Cum Laude and Cum Laude). This year's President's Awardee, Ms. Jannica Mendoza of the College of Teacher Education (CTE) delivered the Valedictory Speech where she shared the challenges and triumphs of their batch as the pioneer batch of Senior High School graduates, and students who underwent digital/online learning due to the pandemic.
The morning session's Commencement Speaker, Ambassador Elizabeth Buensuceso and afternoon's Commencement Speaker, Atty. Alexander Lacson, inspired the graduates through their Commencement Message, anchored with the theme, "Future-taking Flight: A Journey Born of Dreams, Perseverance, and Resiliency.
Muntinlupa City Mayor, Hon. Rozzano Rufino Biazon, and Muntinlupa City Congressman, Atty. Jaime R. Fresnedi also expressed their congratulatory message and greetings to Batch Himaraya during the Commencement Exercises.
Student Regent, Mr. Abraham Delos Santos, and Alumni President, Dr. Reynaldo O. Samson led the Loyalty Pledge and Alumni Pledge respectively. At the end of the program, Batch Himaraya sung their batch song, "A Million Dreams", as well as the PLMun Hymn.
